I Crossed the Border Surrounding AREA 51 and Didn't Get Arrested | Nevada Mountain Exploring

hey guys uncanny Expeditions here on

today's video I spent my last day in the

Rachel area hiking up to an abandoned

mind tunnel that's on the North side of

the highway above Area 51 on the way up

I found some really cool pieces of a

plane crash that I haven't actually

checked out before after that I headed

down the uh western edge of the nttr

past tonopa and I actually found a place

where I could ride my bike across the

nttr border which for those of you who

don't know is the border that surrounds

Area 51 and all the other areas and I

managed to ride across the border

without getting into legal trouble at

least I think I'm excited to have you

guys follow along on this journey let's

get to it I'm heading up the back side

of tempay mountain right now um this is

the back entrance to the tempay mine

complex this used to be a road back when

this was an active tungsten mine but

it's since gotten pretty washed out

there's actually another plane crash on

this side of the mountain as well I've

never checked out unfortunately this one

for my understanding has been pretty

much looted um so all the big pieces

have been taken but there's some smaller

wreckage left to find this was another

F4 Phantom fighter jet um it's not the

F4 Phantom that I checked out previously

that crashed by the border this is a

different one this is an f4e Phantom 2

and um it crashed in 1982 during a red

flag exercise as with the other one both

Pilots were

killed this one here has some uh some

numbers on it Rudder and looks like some

different serial

numbers or rather one serial number

repeated

this f4e was part of the fourth tactical

Fighter Wing It operated out of Seymour

Air Force Base and again it crashed in

1982 during one of the red flag

exercises

Well if I knew more what I was looking

at I'd be able to identify this but

really not entirely

sure some old bottles that look like

they washed down too

I bet if I continued up this hill

there'd be more more wreckage between

where I uh started and where I ended up

down here but the vegetation is so thick

I don't think I'm going to mess with it

right

now yeah here's another another piece of

the plane

here so really it's it's scattered all

over this

Hillside it's kind of not really one

spot where you can go to find the

majority of the wreckage I bet if I

combed up and down through here for a

while I would find quite a bit more I

kind of looked on the satellite view I

couldn't really see any big pieces like

Tails or wings or anything like that

so I don't know if I want to comb

through there or not it might be a

project for another day

this last uh section here gets pretty

steep coming up to the

summit there's this old rusty metal gate

here sitting at the top that marks the

entrance to the temp Paiute mine

complex just over this Ridge there's a

little Stone cabin that we'll check out

once we get to it

here yeah it's such a nice view when you

get up to the top it's worth a steep

climb

all right here's this little Stone cabin

I'm not sure when this was built it's

definitely older than the new tempay

mine if I had to guess I'd say it dates

back to the old tempay Ghost Town era

let's go ahead and check it out see what

we have in here

so I've been to the two lower portals I

explored those pretty thoroughly but

there's a third portal towards the top

of the mountain that I have not been to

so that's the one I'm G to be checking

out today and see what we find in there

there's been some fighter jets making

passes back and forth as I've been

hiking up I heard a prop plane of some

kind earlier

too so across the way from me there on

the uh on the other side of this Ravine

you can see just a massive open pit and

it looks like they have a fence around

it just to keep people from falling in I

I suppose but uh yeah I haven't haven't

been close to that pit either so I don't

know how deep it goes but from here it

look looks absolutely massive

all right guys so there's the mine

portal right

there I do have for safety reasons a

four gas monitor to let me know if I get

uh low oxygen conditions in there and uh

to bail out needless to say don't do

this uh if you value your uh your health

and safety because it's it definitely is

dangerous so now we're just inside the

portal all the electrical box

there all right guys headlamp is

securely in place so I'm heading deeper

in see what we can find

definitely smells a bit sulfury in

here all

right so that's back the way I

came this side looks to be the most

interesting so let's start

there I don't think quite as many people

have explored this tunnel because I

don't see as many uh as much graffiti I

do see a few beer cans

but a lot of the other ones are pretty

tagged

up wow there's an old pack of

Fritos it's definitely some old school

packaging there

old

documents instruction manuals

yeah yeah I remember this from one of

the other tunnels in this area after a

certain point the ground just starts to

get completely Mucky to the point where

I'm not going to go any further down

this

side last time I I tried to walk through

a pit like this it actually wasn't this

bad but uh I I didn't notice until I was

already in the middle of it and my boot

sunk down up to my ankles and uh that

was a long wet trudge back to the

entrance so I'm going to backtrack a

little bit and uh take one of the other

Forks and see what we find down that way

that way looks caved in I don't really

care to climb over it I don't think I'll

consider it but for now I'm going to

take the leftand

fork although maybe that's a bypass

there I'm not

sure yeah lot little side passages

here yeah okay so this was just a bypass

for that uh caved in portion but it's a

dead end right there anyway so let's go

back to the main Passage

all right let's see what we got in

here oh this is kind of a cool little

spot looks like a break room or

something keep it

clean we got some old uh photographic

flash batteries or a case for

one

and is that an explosive

charge quite possibly I'm not too

sure that's an old school Pepsi

can wow

oh

cool oh yeah there's an old school Pepsi

bottle there

too some more

documents looks like a well that's an

old catalog I wonder if I can find a

date on this guy

that I can

see it's definitely

vintage well I have a feeling we might

be getting into some mud again in which

case I'm going to turn around

CU I've learned from experience in this

area that I do not want to get get too

far into the mud because it sinks in

really

fast yeah I'm see seeing some water

dripping now so far the ground isn't too

bad but I can tell it's getting worse so

I'm going to turn around as soon as I

get to a point where it looks

wet which I'm thinking is going to be

right about

here let's find

out not too bad so

far oh o here we are

there's the point where I turn around I

put my foot right there I sunk in about

6 inches almost

immediately all right guys well I'm

going to start making my way back to the

uh the portal

after I wrapped up exploring the mine it

was time to pack up my campsite and get

a move on before the day got too late

heading out of Rachel I headed towards

tonopa and then went South from there on

us95 headed for a place called Stonewall

Mountain which was going to be my next

stop for the night along the way I saw a

number of cool sites like some herds of

wild horses and even some f-35s that

made a low pass

so this is Stonewall mountain and on

Stonewall mountain is a place called

Stonewall spring with a waterfall now

what's unique about this waterfall is

it's located on public land despite most

of the surrounding land being on

Military property so to access this

waterfall you would actually have to

trespass beyond the border of the nttr

in order to get to it now from what I

understand there's a sign at this

particular border crossing that actually

gives you permission to pass legally so

basically what I'm going to do is I'm

going to ride to that border crossing

see what I can see and if if all looks

good I'm going to proceed on past the

border and hopefully I don't get stopped

by the military or blown up by a bombing

run

so here at the fork I'm going to stay

right if I were to head straight it

would take me to this gate here now this

gate I definitely do not want to cross

this is going to enter range 71 which

lies south of the tonapa test range also

known as Area

52 you'll notice the warning signs here

are very similar to the ones you'll see

at Groom

Lake whoa check it out I got a black

helicopter coming in right alongside me

here looks like we have a

shinook and this variant has the aerial

fueling Probe on the front you'll notice

all right well I'm coming up on the

fence line that marks the restricted

Zone straight ahead

well huh that's

weird so I was expecting to see a sign

that said something to the effect of you

may proceed on this road as long as you

don't Veer off the road and you only

head to Stonewall

spring but I don't see any sign at all

now that said there's also no warning

signs so that's good but there's also no

sign that gives me permission to cross

the boundary so that's kind of

bad I guess for now I'm going to

cross and see what happens I'm

definitely a little more on the nervous

side di than I was earlier I was really

expecting to see a sign I saw pictures

of it online and everything I hope they

didn't revoke permission to cross here I

guess uh that helicopter turns around

all know uh it's after

me just to show everybody that I am in

fact inside the restricted Zone here's

Gaia GPS the yellow is public land and

where I am is in the military restricted

Zone

and of course whenever I see something

cool I only have my wide angle lens with

me but up there on the cliff side you

can barely make out some big horn sheep

they were actually right down by the

water when I pulled up um unfortunately

I did startle them up the hill you can

just make out their white butts sitting

on the rock up there all right well here

I am at the

Falls or the

spring it's mostly ice right now it is

winter but I do hear a little bit of

water running so it's not completely

frozen over

you can tell this is the spot where all

the local Wildlife comes to get their

water it's the watering hole for all the

big horn sheep the

birds definitely horses

Burrows whatever kind of other Wildlife

they have up here in these

Hills there I'm looking out off towards

the uh the nttr over there

check out those rock formations

all right guys well that is the uh

Stonewall mountain or Stonewall spring

I never got detain by the military no

camo dudes came after me despite the

fact that I did trespass technically on

the NTR property so there wasn't a sign

there that gave me permission but I'm

going to assume that it was legal for me

to do that if you guys think I did in

fact break the law let me know down in

the comments cuz I'm honestly not 100%

sure but uh so far I haven't been raided

by the FBI joint terrorism task force or

anything like that so if that happens

I'll be sure and keep you guys posted
