Paige & David's Wedding on the Ranch: Part 3
I must confess I still believe
when I'm not with you I
Yeah,
>> everyone hit me baby one more time.
>> Yes. Oh my gosh, we're really lucky out.
I think it's going to get kind of cloudy
tonight, which I'm like might be good
for pics, but I hope we just have like a
good sunset,
but it's literally gorgeous.
>> Oh, it's supposed to be literally
>> sunny at 6:00 and 7. Oh. It'll probably
be like sunny and cloudy, too, which
makes for the best sunset.
And then get cloudy again at 8:00 p.m.
That's ideal.
Chance of rain at 9:00 p.m., but that's
okay.
>> Everyone will be in the tent at that
point.
>> They're practicing their walk.
>> Should we practice?
>> Oh my god.
>> This way.
Go do it this way. Ready? Go.
>> That's good content. Okay.
>> Take three faces and then
>> Yeah, we're going to be flying.
>> Oh,
>> where that dance?
>> I don't know. We were doing rehearsals
yesterday and
>> we just we're not just going to walk
down the aisle.
We got her
>> after he lays it on her. They're going
to kiss. Everyone's going to leave.
>> We got to have a little fun.
>> A little sniff out.
>> That's what it's called.
>> Exactly.
>> I don't I don't know what else you would
do. Snoop.
>> What we don't want to do is trip on some
potholes or
>> I know. You got to make sure to like
make sure those heels are on
>> because I might bust an ankle to be the
first foundation.
Oh boy. I realized that as soon as I
>> was like just goes, "Damn, I needed
that."
>> Let's go.
>> Dang, I got
>> 55.
>> Come on. Come on.
>> Well, how'd you do,
>> brother?
>> He did really good.
Let's get married.
>> Let's get married.
>> I've never used one of these things
before.
>> Just trying to get it all
>> fit and snug, you know.
>> Nice and tight.
>> Perfect. Oh, got a little hair. Sorry.
>> No, that's good. That's good.
>> Talk to me. What are we doing?
>> Well, in the two of my sister's weddings
that I've been in,
>> both of them have given me outrageously
large pants and
>> right over hitting the
>> I don't really know. But I'm going to
hit that whip and nigh neigh on the
dance floor and bust these safety pins
and we'll be sagging all night.
>> We're ready.
>> Wow.
>> Trying to figure out how to fold a
pocket square.
>> Game day. Yeah,
>> we get locked in. Yeah.
>> Excited?
>> Yeah. Excited?
>> No, a little bit. A little nervous.
Little nervous.
>> They look fabulous.
One, two, three, go.
>> Thank you.
>> Let's get after it. I'm ready. Here we
go. This is it.
We're going. We're locked in.
>> I know. We're here. Finally here.
Finally here. I'm so ready to see her.
It's going to be amazing.
>> Do you want to sip it? Yeah. Zip it.
Okay. She's like, you can sip it now. it
so I can stop holding it.
>> Should we hook it in then zip?
>> Oh, there we go.
Snatched.
>> Are you zipping it?
>> I love the snap.
>> Oh my gosh. Look like a good thing.
>> The tiniest voice I've ever seen.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> You guys look at each other and smile.
>> Cute.
>> Oh my gosh. A beautiful gorgeous face.
things. Oh my gosh.
>> I think I want to put the veil on for
the reveal.
>> For the reveal.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> I love it so much.
>> My gosh,
you look so beautiful. Love you. You
guys only going to turn around when she
calls you.
Yeah.
Are you ready?
>> Yes.
Oh my god.
>> Will someone pick me up?
>> She's a mammoth. Of course.
>> She's a mammoth. Of course. The bun
detail
stunning.
Takes a long time to get it all on.
Not not near as simple as just going out
to gather cows in the morning.
The boots are the only thing that stays
consistent.
>> I hear a lot of rustling back there.
>> It's
I don't know why I'm like starting to
get emotional. It's so weird. Sorry.
This is literally the first time that
I've like cried.
That's weird. I just started to get
emotional. You know, my dad I don't know
if I'll be able to do it.
No, I was just thinking like,
you know, my dad, he's been through a
lot in his life, a lot of loss, and um
he lost his brother when he was younger
and he lost my grandparents and
he's just faced a lot of hardships and I
think where that could make someone,
you know, kind of closed off and not
care, it's
made him care even more. And sorry, give
me a second.
He's definitely what you would consider
a tougher dad, but one thing that he has
never failed to do is, you know, give us
everything we could need. And
what do you do with like a gift like
that? You don't even know how to say
thank you enough for that. And I just
hope that he knows how special it is to
me. And leaving does not mean like
leaving for good, but
>> okay.
>> Ready?
>> Good luck. Yeah.
>> Oh, wow. Paige,
you are beautiful.
>> Thank you.
>> So,
love you.
>> Love you. It's a big dress.
>> Oh my gosh. It's a beautiful dress, huh?
>> Yeah.
>> And you look beautiful.
>> Thank you. You look pretty handsome.
>> Yeah. You make me look kind of bad,
though. Gosh, she feels shabby after
seeing you.
>> Oh, no. I'm supposed to outdress
everyone.
>> You're You're gonna You're gonna
accomplish it. That is incredible.
>> Yeah. Thank you.
>> Yeah. So happy for you.
>> He just also is one of those people who
doesn't take the credit. He gives all
the credit to God and he's made sure and
raised us to realize that. And that's
something that I am so thankful for for
the faith that he's instilled in me. And
same with my mom. Like where I'm talking
about my dad, like he wouldn't be able
to do it do it without my mom. My mom
lifts him up and she's that person in
our family who lifts everyone up. Um
she's great. The happiness, the light in
the dark situation. She's always the one
there. And my dad always says, "You need
to be more like my mom and more like my
mom and less like him." But I think them
together, they're just such a powerful
force that God is using just to,
you know, just show his goodness.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, it's a big dress.
>> That's a big dress.
>> Great, Paige.
>> That is incredible. Yeah.
>> Yeah. You look amazing.
>> How tall are your heels?
>> An inch and a half.
I'll do this.
>> You need some.
>> You can wear 5 inch ones with David if
you want.
>> Sophia.
>> Yeah.
>> Get loose.
Are you part of
this is this is incredible. I mean,
they're always calling me Dr. Dave, but
Paige is Paige's a planner, you know?
She's she's all over this. This I
couldn't do this. I couldn't even dream
of doing this. This is this is amazing.
It's incredible.
>> Are we ready? Ready as I
>> Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's going to be a good
deal. Going to be a good deal. Yeah, I'm
ready.
1 2 3 Anderson.
Let's go.
>> It's time.
Heat.
Heat.
You look phenomenal, page.
>> Thank you.
>> So happy for you.
>> Me, too. I'm ready.
>> And I And I love David. He's a great
guy. So very excited for you.
>> Me, too. Thank you.
>> But I'm going to miss you.
>> You know what I mean?
>> I don't know what you're going to do
without me.
deeply rise.
Welcome everyone. Look mercifully upon
Paige and David who have come seeking
your blessing.
Let your Holy Spirit rest upon them so
that with steadfast love they may honor
the promises they make this day. Jesus
Christ our savior. Amen.
You all may be seated.
Who gives this woman to marry this man?
>> Her mother and I do. So I talked to
Paige and David and I told them a little
story.
One of them was about
the raw height not.
But before I tell you that story, I want
to add something to that while you all
think about it. In Ecclesiastes,
the wisdom writer in that fourth
chapter, one short little verse says
that one man is easily defeated. Two
two can defend themselves, but a triple
braid cord is not easily broken.
Now that triple braid cord
is you, David, you page Jesus Christ.
Rawhide when you weave it, you have to
pull it and you pull and you pull and
you pull. And it takes really strong
hands to weave rawhide that which I do
not have.
When I grab a hold of this and when you
all get a hold of it, you pull it may
flex but it will not break.
And that is my prayer for you.
I don't know where the one cord begins
and the other one ends, but I know the
harder I pull, the closer they all get
together.
And I love that visual.
And that is my prayer for you.
Are you ready?

So, in these symbols we've talked about,
there's also a cross behind me,
the old rugged Columbus.
And so, for a moment, we're going to
we're going to listen to a hymn that
George Bernard put together a long time
ago.
As you listen to the music, ponder upon
that cross.
It's David and Paige. They're going to
ponder the broken body
and a new covenant Christ blood

I pronounce you man wife.

wanted to welcome you to
the wedding of our last daughter.
Um, thank you so much for taking time
out of your weekend. I know how precious
weekends are. Thank you for coming all
this way or down the road to celebrate
Paige and David. And I know we'll have
toast later. Here's my husband. But
welcome. We love you all.
We're just very excited to have
everybody here and appreciate you all
coming to celebrate this with us. Uh
we're very excited to have David as part
of the family and just want everybody to
have a good time. Hopefully the food's
really good. If it's not, you can
register the plates for free. I had
nothing to do with that, but uh
>> that's true.
>> Y'all enjoy it and let's have a great
time.

Stay. Okay.
>> I need this truck face.
>> Hey, that's my wife.
>> That's your wife.
>> That's my wife.
Ladies and
>> gentlemen, at this time we'll have our
toast. First up, we're going to have
Anna.
>> Come on, Anna.
>> Hello, everyone.
>> How we doing?
>> My name is Anna and I am honored to be
Paige's maid of honor. Paige, you are
intentional, loyal, and always there for
your people. You love everyone and have
a way of bringing people together from
all different parts of your life and it
is truly special.
Dave, you are the most thoughtful and
caring person, always going out of your
way to take care of Paige and all of our
friends. I truly could not imagine a
more amazing person to marry my best
friend.
We've been friends for over seven years
now, and I couldn't imagine anyone
better suited for Paige than David.
Their love and commitment to each other
are truly inspiring, and I am grateful
to be a part of their special day. And I
will always be your biggest supporters
and be there whenever you need. And
don't worry, I won't be too far away.
I'm just a mile down the road.
And just remember, wherever you guys go
in life, know that I'll always be there
for you and probably be tagging along.
>> Love you both more than you know. Cheers
to the Andersons.
>> Ladies and gentlemen, ANNA.
>> And now, Chase.
>> All right. Good evening, everybody. Uh,
my name is Chase, and I got the honor of
being David's best man today. Uh, I've
known David since uh we were kids, so
just about 5 years ago. Uh,
inseparable, attached to the hip,
college sweethearts and lovers. These
are just a few examples of how people
would describe David and I's
relationship.
But in all seriousness, there's some
truth to it. I first met David in my
college apartment after he transferred
to Oklahoma State. To say we hit it off
from the start,
hit it off from the start, would be a
huge understatement.
As we got to know each other, we had a
lot more in common than we originally
realized. We were both construction
majors and we didn't have just one class
together or two. We had every class
together. So, I really had no choice but
to like this guy. Uh throughout college,
we're always a package deal. There was
never one without the other. We worked
together, studied together, obviously
not enough. Uh,
and for a short time we lived together
and we even thought about planning to
move to Arizona together for work.
Clearly, he couldn't live without me.
That was until he met Paige. I
originally met Paige in Stillwater just
a few years ago on a game day. She
seamlessly became part of our college
friend group and an honorary OSU cowboy.
I'm not quite sure Paige knew what she
was getting into when she joined us, but
we got to know each other pretty well.
uh too well. Some might say David is one
of the most hardworking, authentic,
passionate, and determined men that I
know. And I'm proud to call him my best
friend.
I know that he will do everything in his
power to be the best husband that he can
be for Paige. And I know you make David
feel like the happiest man in the world.
Not only the way that he talks about
you, but also the way that he looks at
you.
I'm excited to witness you two take this
next step forward together.
But if you ever need a break, you know,
week off, weekend, don't hesitate to
call. I'll definitely take them off your
hands. But good luck getting him back.
>> Cheers to the Andersons.
>> Me.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Love you, dude. Love you, baby.
>> Decent.
>> Yeah.
>> So good.
>> Thanks for that.
>> All right, dude. Love you, baby.
Okay, y'all bear with me. To be
transparent, my first pass at this
speech was 20 minutes long, but I'm not
going to keep you guys that long. I've
trimmed it down. For those of you that
don't know me, my name is Alex. I am the
older sister of the bride. I'm going to
try to keep it together for you.
So, needless to say that Paige and I go
way back. Um, all the way back to 1999
to be exact.
I feel like a lot of siblings can say
that they were inseparable, but Paige
and I were truly inseparable growing up.
We did everything together. We grew up
in the middle of nowhere.
We shared a room our whole life. We
worked on the ranch together. We
homeschooled together. She was my
classmate.
And we played soccer together, which I'm
admitting here and now that Paige was
the athletically gifted one out of the
two of us.
When I look back on my childhood, I
really can't imagine my life without my
sister.
All my best memories are with you,
Paige. We got to share clothes. We got
to play with our Barbies. And we got to
just be little girls together, which
looking back, I can't imagine my life
without that.
And never in our wildest dreams would
those little girls have imagined we'd be
here today, being made of honors in each
other's wedding and marrying each
other's dream men.
So, it's really just come full circle.
I've also gotten a front row seat into
just the amazing woman that Paige has
become. She's grown up from my little
sister to someone that I admire so much
in every single way. Paige is fun,
hilarious, creative, and adventurous,
and not to mention drop deadad gorgeous.
She is a tall blonde bombshell and also
a hell of a cowgirl.
Growing up, I could make the argument
that I was a better hand than her, but
standing here today, she's officially
got me beat in every single category.
Um, she could outwork me at any given
day today. So, I'll give you that.
While a lot of people see Paige's strong
exterior, I think my favorite part about
Paige is her huge, caring heart. Paige
is one of the most deeply caring people
that I know. Even though Paige is my
little sister, I look up to her in so
many ways and I couldn't ask for a
better woman to call my sister.
So, with all of this combining into the
wonderful woman that is Paige Drummond,
I couldn't really ever envision what
kind of guy was going to steal her
heart.
Actually, if you recall, approximately
four years ago, Paige stood on this very
stage and said, "Mom and dad, don't hold
your breath. I'm not getting married for
a while."
But here we are today because that all
changed when she met David Anderson.
David, I haven't known you very long,
nearly as long as I've known Paige, but
I feel like I already have a pretty good
picture of who you are. You are
persistent and driven, and that was very
clear in the way you pursued my sister.
You knew what you wanted and you went
after it even before she knew what she
wanted. But you always knew. And it
makes me so happy to see my sister with
a man who is clearly so crazy about her.
I've never seen Paige more peaceful and
content than when she's with you. So,
welcome to Married Life. We're so glad
to have you. I pray that you seek Christ
first and form your family off of that
foundation. And I can't wait to see the
life that you guys create together. I'll
end things with one small request that
you tell your future D1 athlete children
to take it easy on our kids on the
playground one day.
Cheers. I love you guys so much.
>> LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, ALEX
AND now
>> Reed Atlanta.
>> Um, I mean really, uh, it's hard to
follow Alex on that one. That's
incredible, Alex. Um, obviously raised
both those girls out here. Um, on the
ranch working all the time.
It was, uh, you know, it was a lot of
fun. I enjoyed it. I probably wasn't
always the easiest guy to work with. Uh,
and if somebody was going to push back,
it was Paige. I mean, if she if I got a
little out of line, she'd be like,
"Look, you need to calm down."
And I would think about it. I might
argue with her a little, but she'd
always win, so I might as well just take
my loss and go on.
Paige has an incredible heart and always
knew it. strong faith, uh, an incredibly
beautiful, tall woman who, to be honest
with you, had trouble
uh, finding a guy that she really liked
because she wanted somebody taller than
her.
She overachieved in that area,
but we're looking forward to many
basketball games with our grandchildren
in the future.
Um, you know,
if y'all know us, you know that our
faith is very important in our life. Uh,
we've truly been blessed by God, blessed
with all these family and friends that
are here to celebrate with us today.
Celebrate Paige and David.
Uh if I could have asked for anything in
life, it would be to my daughters, my
sons, to find somebody whose faith was
equally yolked with theirs. And I feel
very confident that Paige has done that.
Alex did that. Paige has done that.
Maybe they've set the bar a little high
for the boys. Boys, you got a lot of
work to do to catch up.
But I just could not be more thankful
than having David be a part of our life.
Uh he's just an incredible young man and
hard work ethic. Just couldn't ask for
any more in a son-in-law. So I just
thank you Paige and thank you David.
Congratulations. We just love you and we
feel very blessed you know that you all
have found each other.
>> We love you Paige and David. just the
perfect match and we just can't wait to
see where you go in life and just God
bless you and everything you do. God
bless your friends. God bless our
friends and family. By the way, when I
welcomed you all earlier, I didn't say I
love you and we really and thank you so
much. It's been so great to see David's
side of the family.

>> You don't have to go. Thank you for
coming. We love y'all.
So, does is the RHIP going to have a
different meaning now?
>> Rank has its privileges. I'm going to
have no privileges anymore because I'm
not going to have any sort of rank on
the ranch. I I wasn't going to be the
low man when Bryce came back, but now I
guess I will be the low man every time I
come back to help. GHTP. Girls have
their privileges. So that's what I like
to say when I'm out of work. I'm like,
"Girls have their privileges. I'll give
shots while y'all are pushing all the
cows in the shoe."
>> Yep.
>> I think I'm good.
>> I think I'm going to call it after that.
