His Holiness Patriarch Serbian Lord Porphyry served the liturgy on St. Peter's day in the temple of St. Sava on Vracar. Patriarch Porphyry was served by bishops, reconciled Macarovske Gedeoni, British and Irish nocturnes, pre-sacred deacons and numerous faithful people of God who filled the temple of St. Sava on Vracar.

Patriarch Porphyry said in a speech that man needs a church, a community and prayer because no one is sufficient for himself. present in the space of faith and heals. The Holy Liturgy was attended by cadets of the 147th Class of the Military Academy and the 12th Class of the Medical Faculty of the Military-Medical Academy, in order to complete the training

for whom he was a servant of the Lord. After the service, he was blessed by the children and wished them all the best. Then he spent time in a hearty and spiritual conversation with the people.

Patriarch Porphyry took part in the action of voluntary blood donation, which was organized with his blessing in the parish house of the Temple of St. Sava in Vracar and five more temples in Belgrade. In this manly action, the bishop of British Jelj Nektar, numerous priests and church servants, as well as members of the Army of the Republic of Serbia, took part.

At the same time, the action was held in several Belgrade temples, in the Church of St. John Vladimir on Medakovic, the Church of St. Simeon Mirotočevi on New Belgrade, the Church of St. Apostle and Evangelist Mark on Paliloli, the Church of St. Alexander Nevski on Dorcol, as well as the Church of the Resurrection of Mr. Gužarkov.

The Serbian Orthodox Church for many years now represents one of the most trusted and most dedicated associates of the Institute for Transplantation of Blood in Serbia in organizing the action of voluntary blood donation. Through numerous parishes and temples throughout the country, the Church constantly encourages believers to help those who have blood that is essential for healing and saving lives by a work of love, mercy and Christian responsibility.

A special example of his personal participation is always the Patriarch of Serbia, Mr. Porfirij, who was a long-time regular volunteer blood donor. The Patriarch, on this occasion, testified with his example the importance of selfless service to the loved ones, emphasizing that giving blood is one of the most noble forms of Christian love and care for others.

The head of the Institute for blood transfusion in Serbia, Dr. Olivera Savic, expressed his opinion at the Hram TV. It is very good that the Serbian Orthodox Church, as part of our community, is included in something that represents the goodwill of citizens. Giving blood is voluntary, anonymously, unpaid, and it is an expression of goodwill, a desire to help,

to an unknown man, and this is what Orthodoxy means, to help others.
