How are you, my dear friends? How

are you? I hope things are going well for you

there. I remember perfectly, it was

also in the summer, we were one of the

first a few years ago to tell you a

story that generated a lot of unease and

sadness among many consumers in

Spain. Everyone was eager to

buy a Suzuki Jimny. Everyone

wanted a Jimny, a car that is

incredibly appealing due to its aesthetics

and that worked perfectly well as an

off-road vehicle concept, which

people end up buying as

a treat to use for

everyday driving. Well, it generated a lot of

controversy because for the first time we were

aware that

environmental regulations were affecting a

car that could have been very popular

in our country. And look, the

Japanese have a global vision of the

automotive industry, for better or for worse, because even though they

could have made a fortune

selling Jimneys in Europe in

general, they didn't want to hybridize this

vehicle in some way, to give

that engine what it needed to

have

lower emissions and thus make its price

more affordable or prevent Suzuki from having to

perform miracles to

comply with

CO2 emissions quotas in Europe. And that's how

things stood. And so it has remained to this

day, with the Jimny still being

sold in dribs and drabs, only

in the two-seater version in the

mixed commercial version that is still

marketed in our country. Well

, here's the thing: things are going to

change radically in the coming

times. For now, there are

n't many new products equivalent to the Jimny

on the way, but there are some very

interesting and powerful ideas, and what's

coming is a real flood of

new 4x4 off-road vehicles. And

the question is, why is this? And the

answer is, because the Chinese, who are

so voracious, are developing cars

in categories and classes that we

Europeans had directly

abandoned, and the Japanese have

partially abandoned, either directly or

indirectly, by eliminating the range of

some products or indirectly by not

bringing them to Europe. That's over. If

you want a 4x4, if you're an

off-road enthusiast, a new golden age is coming

, an era that will be

absolutely dominated by all the

Chinese products that are about to arrive. And when

I say they are about to arrive, some have already

arrived on the market. So in this

video I've set out to give you a list

of all the vehicles that are coming. I'm

going to tell you a little bit about what they're like.

Some are more interesting than others,

but you'll see how the Chinese circumvent

European regulations, or at least how,

within their strategy, they are

able to place these products. So

if you thought that

traditional off-road vehicles

with boxy bodies, low-

range gears, and high-torque diesel engines

were going to disappear from the map.

Nothing could be further from the truth, because

here I have the proof to

show you. And be aware that this comes with an

asterisk. There's also a

golden age of 4x4s coming, and I'll tell you about it in the

next line. And pickups

too,

yes, because many of these new

car manufacturers for

us, many of these new brands

also bring with them a

pickup model. Just a few days ago, I

posted a video on the channel of the

Denza Bao5, which is what

this car, initially

known as the B5, will finally be called: a

traditional all-terrain vehicle with an

impressive plug-in hybrid propulsion system

. And also at that moment there at

the Bootbot festival they announced

that they were going to bring

the Shark pickup to Spain,

the Bigy Shark, which is a

plug-in hybrid monster that

brings us one of the features that

the Chinese are putting into these cars

in the, let's say, higher

range or more

technologically advanced versions. They become

4x4s thanks to electric motors, that is,

electric motors in the front and rear,

sometimes even with three

different electric motors. This has the great

advantage, combined with a plug-in hybrid system

, that is, a

large battery, in some cases more than

30 kWh, that we eliminate the entire

reduction gear, the entire

differential, the entire

mechanical connection between the front

and rear axles, because that is now done by

electric motors with immense torque

that sometimes even have their own

reduction gearbox, their own

gearbox so that it can operate in 4x4

at low and high speeds. and

then with electronic control of

wheel rotation when there is low

traction, something that was unimaginable with the

previous mechanical controls. In

other words, 4x4 cars but with

new technologies and in many cases with an

eco label. But in addition to this Denzao

5 and its brother, the Shark, the pickup, a

car that is going to attract a lot of

attention, in fact it is a new brand, it

is the Icaur brand, which is

really called Icar, but to avoid

problems with Apple, the

Cherry group has decided that in

Europe it will be called ICAUR, which is a name

that I find quite

absurd, eh? or ICAR, whatever you want, but it will

ultimately be called ICA. Well,

this ICA brand is yet another new brand

, the fifth brand under the

Cherry group umbrella that will appear in

Spain, and it is a brand developed

specifically to sell

off-road vehicles that are

truly all-terrain. And of the two

Ikaurs that initially came from

the year 27, probably the most

interesting is the V23. And it's one of the

most interesting because

, while not tiny, this car

is the closest thing to a Suzuki

Jimny, with a very striking,

attractive, and

friendly design, measuring 4.2 meters in length, and a

surprise hidden inside.

Well, keep several. First of

all, and some of you might be

a little disappointed now, let me

explain: it initially comes

in electric versions with batteries

that, despite the car's size, reach up to

80 kWh capacity in China, ranging

between 40, 50, and 80 kWh. We'll see what

versions arrive in

Spain and what batteries they have. But with 80

kWh, mind you, because you already have enough range

to get around with this little gadget, as I

say, of a small size, with

power outputs of 135 horsepower to start with and a little over

200 horsepower in the

4x4 version. In terms of attack angle,

departure height, and breakover angle, this is a

pure off-road vehicle. We are talking about

the entry and exit point being

above 40º. We're

talking about very serious things now. And it's a

vehicle—and here comes perhaps the

best part—that will initially only arrive

as an electric car in Europe and

Spain, but is already being

developed in a range extender version. It will supposedly have

a

100 hp gasoline generator engine that will power a

battery so you can have more

autonomy or, when moving around the countryside, not

have to depend on

electricity. This Range

Extender version isn't 100%

confirmed by the manufacturer,

okay? Don't take it as

gospel. Let's wait a little while

. This is a car with

enormous commercial potential, and

hopefully the Chinese will be smart and

bring what the market demands, which is

a combustion engine version. It will

also always include a

battery, and in this way they gain access to

the most attractive labels on the market

and also to the aid now

indirectly and partially due to the

new regulations of the car plan that has

just been reactivated. But

the V23 is a tremendously

interesting car, and don't think that just because it

has this aesthetic it's going to be a

cheap or technologically

outdated vehicle. This vehicle, and this is a

scoop I'm telling you here on the channel,

has software, it has an

electrical architecture that mixes the

infotainment system with the

active safety system, which is a

very novel thing in the

automotive industry and it also has

driving assistance specifically for

off-road driving. Keep an eye on this product

because it's going to generate a lot of buzz, and

we'll see how well it's received in

the market. Given that it is a

purely electric product, we already

know that 85% or

80% of people will not consider it. We'll see if

this car is one of those that changes

people's minds. And within this

new Ikaaur brand, also keep an eye on the V27,

because it is one of the

most aesthetically striking cars. You'll see

how most of the cars I'm

going to show you today share a pattern: their

aesthetics are always somewhere

between what we know of the

classic Land Rover, the Rover

Defender, and of course,

the Toyota, which we

always consider

the pure off-roader, the

off-roader that everyone wants. The

V27 already comes with a different

propulsion architecture. We are talking about a

plug-in hybrid with 20

kWh batteries and a 34 kWh battery capacity and a

length that is dangerously close to

5 m. In other words, we're talking

about a ladder frame car here,

but one that effectively occupies

the same space as the Land Cruiser or the

Defender as a family luxury car that

can take you off-road to the

most remote places without any

problems. In this case, it's not so

specifically designed for off-road vehicles, but it's

also designed for off-road vehicles.

We'll see what price it arrives at, we'll see

what price it leaves at. This one, obviously,

will be considerably more expensive. Well, and another

brand that is already available in Spain and

that has been completely renewed

is precisely the range of brands

around DR. Well, before Ebro

existed in Italy, someone did something

identical, which is to bring products from China

and start assembling them in

that country. That's how the DR brand came about. Then they

expanded, now they have DR

Sport, uh, ICHX.

IHX is the underground vehicle brand

of the DR group, an

Italian group that brings Chinese technology. As I

say, Ebro hasn't invented anything, they've

transplanted that Chinese model and

brought it to our country. Well, these ICHX

have two very striking models.

Perhaps the one that attracts the most attention, of

course, is the K2, which would be the

Chinese Jeep Grangler. This is a car,

as you can see, with

completely square dimensions and this is

a pure old-school 4x4 with its

reduction gear, its

differential locks and a 2000 diesel engine

with 162 horsepower, 163 that is

repeated by many brands and

Chinese products also such as pickups.

As you know,

Chinese engine technologies often

share many components,

engine sizes, and in many cases,

the same manufacturer. Well,

this car has a pure 4x4 diesel engine,

ladder frame, and after years, locking differentials and a

reduction gear. In short, everything a

purist off-road enthusiast could

dream of is found in this car. However,

at a higher price. We are

talking about this

vehicle, which is approximately 4.60 meters

long and costs around €58,000

. And then there's the K3, another

very striking car, also for its

aesthetics, which has more of that

family car philosophy in the style of the

Defender or the Ford Bronco, although with

an aesthetic, I would even say more

accomplished, with a 2.0 zero turbo

gasoline engine, which depending on whether you

buy it as pure gasoline C label or

as gasoline with LPG ECO label, will

have power outputs of between 245 and 238

horsepower. You know that with LPG you

lose a little bit of power and it's

not exactly a pure off-road vehicle

. Its entry and exit dimensions,

breakover angle, and ground clearance are

not those of a pure off-roader, but neither

are they those of a sub as we have in

mind. It's a vehicle that can go out into the

countryside, it can't do

extreme off-roading, but it's enough to

take a trip to the countryside and do

90-something percent of what a normal citizen does

. Its price, well, around

€48,000. Well, more crazy new things

that you might not have thought of. GWM,

watch out for this Chinese manufacturer who comes

with a lot of ambition after two

failed attempts to reach Europe via

the German route. Now they are entering through Spain

and other countries in Europe. GWM is one

of the most established manufacturers

in China, which previously focused

on the European continent

mainly through Russia and

Eastern European countries, and is now coming back strong. I'm letting you know

that in the coming

months we're going to test the GWM range

because it's a very interesting brand that

specializes in

off-road vehicles, specifically

pickup trucks, through its

previous brand Jabal, which it

also owns now. Everyone here is going to arrive

like GWM. They're still investigating

whether GWM is okay, or Great World Motors, or

Great Wall. Who knows. For

now, GWM stands for the acronym of the Great

Wall of China. And the first true

off-road vehicle that's coming, apart from the

Hora 5 that I'm going to show you in

a few weeks on the channel, is the Tank 300.

Again, we're talking about a car around

4.8 m long with very boxy shapes, and it's going to

take the place of those

traditional off-road vehicles that everyone has

in mind. It will come with

plug-in hybrid technology. This is also

one of GWM's specialties. In

fact, when they arrived in Germany

less than 3 years ago, they came with the

Wi brand, which was a brand that makes

luxury, exclusively

plug-in hybrid subwoofers. GWM, like many other

Chinese manufacturers, develops its

own technologies, in some cases

its own electrical components,

has its own stake in

battery manufacturers, and will make a

lot of plug-in hybrid vehicles. So

this car could also

potentially come with a zero emissions label when it

arrives on the market. We'll be keeping a close eye on the Tank 300

because it will be

here very soon. And another vehicle that is

also arriving, which you can already buy, this one is

not arriving, it is already on the market, it is

precisely the Yudo 6 with many OES

in the middle because they have been interfered with regarding the

brand name judo, they

could not use it, so they have

invented this Yudo thing, which in the end

means judo. Well,

whatever it means, this brand

is a sub-brand of the

Kanglu brand, which is a brand

established in Spain and which

also imports Chinese products. And

this particular product is one of the

most eye-catching SUVs

by far. In terms of aesthetics, we're

talking about the Bau B212,

a 4.7m car with a turbocharged

gasoline engine that is very successful, as I

say, because of its aesthetics and which has two

versions. One of them, the Navigator,

would be the most beastly off-road vehicle we

have on the Spanish market,

along with the Grangler,

the G-Class, and the

ICHXK2.

A true off-roader that in its

Navigator version, as I say, the most

off-road capable, exceeds 40º in

approach and departure angles. A

pure off-road vehicle, as I say, with

a turbocharged gasoline engine, as in

many cases, and which, well, will be

useful above all for those

looking for a car for adventure and a

car that has much more performance

in the countryside than comfort, silence

and to some extent comfort and safety

on asphalt, as happens with these

radical off-road vehicles. Okay,

and then I have to finish with two

Spanish projects that I've already

presented to you on the channel,

so I'm leaving them for last. One of

them, an important new development, is that

Santana now has a second model

called Cajal, the Santana. Cajal, yes,

in homage to Santiago Ramón y Cajal.

This car is directly derived

from the Bike BJ40 Pro. That BJ40 name sounds

a lot like Toyota, doesn't it? With

their FJs and their entire range of

vehicles, very spectacular off-road vehicles

that people

end up using as an all-

purpose car. Well, this Santana Cajal will

arrive on the market with two versions, one

with the 2.0 diesel engine, as expected,

with 163 horsepower, and

another with a range extender version of

240 horsepower, always making

round numbers. Very interesting. There will also

be range extenders in these off-

road vehicles, and the Santana Cajal

will be one of those that will have this

technology. By the way, as you can see,

it's a 4.8m car,

round number. Most of them are out there. It's a

car like most that are around

4.8 m long, with a trunk capacity of over

500 L and many

off-road capabilities without being a radical vehicle. It's

a car that, with a 37º approach angle

and a 31º departure angle, aims to be a sub

to compete with the Ford Bronco and all

those vehicles with dimensions and

off-road capabilities that are

above what one would consider for

a sub that, in the end, is just a

family vehicle disguised as an off-

road vehicle. This would be an off-

road vehicle, let's say, of an

intermediate level in terms of its

off-road capabilities.

Personally, compared to the

cars you just saw,

aesthetically it seems to me to be a step

below, but it's a vehicle that

we'll see how it impacts the market.

The idea is that it costs less than €50,000,

which means the car must be

very well made and very well

equipped to actually have a

market. And speaking of this, here's

one of the great white hopes

of the market, the new Santana. Just so

you know, Santana plans to assemble

both the Cajal and the pickup

truck in Linares, apart from the pickup itself. For now, they won't be assembled there, but

we'll see what they end up assembling

there along with the Coronet. Be careful because

Santana intends to bring three

more SUVs with all this

competition you're seeing. We still don't

know what models they will be. I trust him

and we'll ask Edu Blanco

what he can tell us, that one of the

off-road vehicles is one of the small ones like the

Jimny, right? But we'll see in the end if they

bring it and where they get the technologies from.

For now, this one comes from Bike and of

course, to finish, a vehicle

that we have dedicated time to here on the

channel lately, which is precisely the

relaunch of the Galoper brand and

specifically this S15, which is

another vehicle that has already been manufactured in the

past in China and Japan.

We are talking about the Nissan Xterra, not to be

confused with the Nissan X-Trail. The

Xterra is a large off-road vehicle

, over 4.8 m long, with many

off-road capabilities, and also with the

ability to move on its own

axis. I've been trying it out and it's

super fun to try. And it will

also bring with it a

pure 4x4 pickup with differential locks and

a turbo gasoline engine that they

intend to hybridize, this is very

interesting, through a

very powerful component manufacturer in

Cantabria that is dedicated to making batteries

for 48V systems and that they intend to

hybridize with an eco label there with

the technology from that place. We'll see if they

finally succeed. That would imply

that there would be minimal manufacturing

of this car in Spain. They are betting on

that instead of LPG. At least that's what we've been

told. That makes it

considerably more

technologically complex. We'll see if they

succeed and whether that assembly takes place

in Spain or outside of Spain. I

understand that they want to do it in

Spain. It's similar to what Suzuki

could have done if they had had ambitions in Europe. In other words, a

mild hybrid

Jimny assembly line, but they didn't consider it. Suzuki,

by the way, is now having

quite a few problems in India for the

same reason, because they are not updating their models at the

necessary speed and some

manufacturers in India are starting

to gain ground on them. For Suzuki,

India is something like what

China is for Volkswagen. In other words, a very important part

of this company's future depends on

that country. But we are in

Spain, and we have just done a great

overview of everything that's coming in the world

of off-road vehicles. You can't complain.
