Road Education Module 4 Road Safety Transit Law We begin by asking ourselves: What is the law? The law is a declaration of the sovereign will that, manifested in the prescribed form by the Constitution, commands, prohibits or allows. Throughout the years, our organic transport law, transit and road safety have undergone countless modifications.

The latter was implemented in August 2021. The users of the roads are forced to obey the regulations, road regulations, traffic agent indications and traffic signs that establish an obligation or prohibition, unless special circumstances justify it. Users of the road: Article 252 of the Traffic Regulation indicates:

All those people who use public roads, whether pedestrians, motor vehicle drivers, human or animal traction, are considered road users. What are human traction vehicles? The movement of these vehicles is produced by the action of one or more people. As an example we can say a bicycle. Animal Traction Vehicles

Its movement is produced by one or more movements, usually intended for cargo transport, for example a car, a mechanical traction vehicle. Its movement is produced by an autonomous motor or internal combustion mechanism, electric or any other source of energy. As an example we can say a vehicle. Steel Users

The sidewalks are for exclusive use of pedestrians. They can be used by vehicles to cross them to enter or exit parking lots. Even cyclists cannot circulate on the sidewalks. Every pedestrian, like a driver, has his obligations. Article 199 of the traffic law indicates that:

During public transportation, pedestrians must follow the following: Cross the streets by crosswalks and elevated or depressed steps. If there are no crosswalks, cross the corners of intersections. Do not walk on the sidewalks of open roads to vehicle traffic. And do not cross the street on the front or rear of the motor vehicles that have stopped momentarily. Taxes on pedestrians.

Like a driver, pedestrians can also be sanctioned for committing a contravention. Article 392 of the Criminal Integral Organic Code says: "Consent for traffic of the seventh class will be sanctioned with a fine equivalent to 5% of a basic wage unified by the general worker and a reduction of 1.5 points in his driving license, the pedestrian

that on public roads does not transit through sidewalks or safety sites intended for the effect. If a pedestrian is the presumed author of a traffic crime where they are dead or injured or with physical disability or illness of more than 30 days, whenever he has enough evidence, he will be arrested and put under the orders of the competent traffic judge. Thank you for your attention.
