You should always be aware of the most important basic rules: Use only designated routes.

Only work on machines and systems you are dependent on and use them only as determined. Use existing handling devices. Inform your leadership about health restrictions or pregnancy. If an incident occurs, please do not make any self-tests. Ensure the safety of your colleagues and inform your leadership or the intervention center.

If there is immediate danger of life, you immediately leave the affected area. If there is an injury at your workplace or if there are health risks, you are obliged to use your personal protective equipment and to check if you are in a proper condition. Depending on the workplace, it consists of: head protection, hearing protection, eye protection, facial protection, respiratory protection, physical protection, hand and arm protection,

Keep your eyes and ears open on the workplace and at work, for example to identify safety signs and signs. A sign with a round shape and blue background points to a sign. You have to do something here.

A sign with a round shape and a red edge on a white background always indicates a ban. Here you are not allowed to do anything. Regardless of which waste, waste separation at the workplace is a prerequisite for a proper disposal. But what is at home does not have to be automatically applied here. Waste separation in the company has its own rules of play and they can be different in every company. You should also pay attention to a proper disposal in the office areas.

Basically, it is better to avoid causing waste. For example, rather grab a cup at the coffee machine instead of a throw-away cup. Or process documents on the screen instead of printing them out. This saves costs and protects the environment. Avoid emissions such as dust, smell or noise, also taking into account colleagues and the neighbourhood. Energy saving is part of environmental protection. So turn off your PC and lights after the holiday. But please don't turn everything off. There are also devices and systems that are not allowed to be turned off.

With so many employees and vehicles, it can quickly become confusing on the factory and construction site. In order to guarantee safe traffic, the traffic order is outside the halls. Therefore, move carefully and respectfully through the halls and maintain safety distance. Shortening brings more risks than time savings. It is never a good idea to get through between the trains. You should also pay special attention to the stables. While an employee has a field of view of just under 120 degrees vertically and 180 degrees vertically on foot, a stables driver sees much less.

If you enter a workshop, you should provide an overview and act with caution. Pay attention to the traffic. Pedestrians can stop faster. Therefore, let stoppers and other floor-mounted vehicles pass. The stopper driver may not be able to see you. In case of doubt, always make eye contact first.

When ranking and reversing, the stroller driver has to concentrate on many things at the same time. If he looks in the direction of travel, he does not see the people in the front swing area. Let any injury be treated by the factory medical service after you have reported. The factory medical service is also an helpful contact person for all other health problems.

In the case of a fall or an out-of-body accident without a medical service, the emergency doctor is your rightful place of contact. But what to do in a serious case when participants need quick help? The most important thing is to keep calm. Get help through an emergency call. The right number for this is 112.

Please note that you usually have to choose a pre-selection and a fixed-net number for an emergency call by mobile phone. But there are exceptions. In deposits, outposts and rents at various locations, the 112 is sometimes also chosen by phone. Please inform yourself directly in your area. To pass on all necessary information to the helpers when an emergency call, always stick to the 6 Ws. Where did something happen? What happened?

How many injured are there? What injuries do you have? Who calls emergency? Wait for inquiries. Calling an emergency is a way to save lives. The same applies to your behaviour in a fire. Implement the escape and rescue routes in your area of work. You will find them on hangars on each floor. Make sure that these routes are kept free. Remember where the next collection points are.

Where are the next alarm systems such as fire alarms or telephone? Where are fire protection systems such as fire extinguishers or extinguishing hoses? In the event of a fire, please do not use elevators. There is a risk of suffocation. Take care of strangers who do not recognize themselves and also bring them to safety. Cooperation and teamwork are the basis for safe work.
