Penalaran Induktif : Sebab-Akibat - UTBK SNBT 2024
Welcome back with your study partner, Let's Study! Today we will learn about inductive induction with sub-test of cause-effect. Now, studymates, this learning material is funded by BDI PT Infomedia Nusantara.
Before we start, I want to introduce myself. My name is Shakira Naura Husna, or as we call her Nara. I am from the Media Production Department, Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of Indonesia, 2023.
Well, a little about me, I am an alumni of the Acceleration Program during my junior high school, so I only studied in junior high school for two years. In addition, I am also an alumni of the 99th National High School of Jakarta, where the 99th National High School is a high school with a ranking of 67 based on data from the LTM-PT.
During my last semester, I attended 3 BIMBLs, which are Geo, Konstanta who came to my school, and I also attended the teacher's room for about 4 months. I was also a student of TUIT, if you know, and I was quite active there. So, the material that I will teach this time I took based on my knowledge during BIMBL in those 3 places, as well as the materials that used to be often circulated on Twitter.
I passed the TBC with a score of 755.31 for PU and 730.77 for PBM. I include these two because in the last test I will teach these two subjects. So let's get into the material.
Now let's get into the matter, cause and effect. What is the matter of cause and effect? The matter of cause and effect is a matter that discusses a sentence or paragraph that describes the relationship between two things when one thing causes something else to happen.
Meanwhile, if it is interpreted one by one, the cause is someone, event, condition, or action that triggers something to happen. While the result is the impact, result, or change that is produced when something is done or happens. So the cause is what triggers, while the result is what is produced from that cause.
Here are some key words for the cause. For example, there is "as a result of", "because", "by", "based on", "the result of",
So, since, when, because of, caused by, based on, fact, thus, made by, then, because of, to, based on, fact, the reason for, should, and what it means. There are still a lot of keywords from the word "sebab-akibat", but here I just put a few.
Next, we will learn the formula for the cause and effect. The first is the cause plus the word or phrase plus the effect. Here we can see that Siti does not follow the recipe correctly. Siti does not follow the recipe correctly, this is the cause. So this is the keyword or phrase, the cake is not as expected, this is the result of Siti's actions that do not follow the recipe correctly.
Next is the word or phrase plus the cause plus the result, so the cause first then the result. This is an example, because this is the keyword or phrase, because Kevin came late to school, this is the cause.
he will be punished this is the consequence so he is punished because he came late to school this is an example of the cause and effect I want to ask studymates to work on this issue and I will give about two minutes to work on the issue later we will discuss it together okay two minutes starts now
Okay, it's been two minutes, now it's time to discuss the question. Here is the sentence that states the relationship of cause and effect. The correct answer is number two. Why number two?
Here is a writing, "Because Mrs. Dewi is a smart and highly dedicated teacher at school, students and other teachers like her." Because here is the keyword or phrase from the sentence "the reason". Mrs. Dewi, a smart and highly dedicated teacher at school, is the reason.
What is the result? From being smart and highly dedicated, the result is that students and other teachers like him. So here it can be concluded that the answer is B. Okay, next, this is the second example of the problem. I'll give you two minutes to work. Two minutes starts now. What is the result?
Okay, it's been two minutes, now it's time to discuss the issue. Here we are given two statements and we are asked to determine the relationship between statement 1 and statement 2. Well, here we can see that statement 1 is that there are many couples who want to get married but do not have enough money and mental to live a married life.
The second statement is that most marriages end in divorce. Here we can try one by one. Let's try the first option. Statement 1 is the cause and statement 2 is the consequence. Is it true? We can see, if we make it into a sentence, so one sentence.
Because there are many couples who want to get married but do not have enough mental and physical strength to live a married life, most marriages end in divorce. In your opinion, is this sentence reasonable? Or should I try to change the sentence?
There are many couples who want to get married but do not have enough money and mental to live a married life, so most marriages end in divorce. Is this answer correct? The answer is correct, studymates. So we can conclude that the answer is option A. Now let's try another option, for example option B.
The second statement is the cause and the first statement is the result. Does it make sense? If there are many couples who want to get married but do not have mental burden, it is caused by most of the marriages ending in divorce. It doesn't make sense, right? Because this is the result and this is the reason. So the correct answer is A. Okay, as usual, two minutes starts now.
Okay, 2 minutes, now it's time to discuss the question. As before, we are told to determine the relationship between statements 1 and 2.
Here we can see that statement 1 states that the fruit seller gets a lot of money, while statement 2, many people choose to buy fruit during Ramadan. Here we see the options from option A, statement 1 is the cause and statement 2 is the result. It means if we put together one sentence, it's like this.
Because the fruit seller gets a lot of money, many people choose to buy fruit during Ramadan. Does it connect? It doesn't connect, because the sentence is not convincing enough to be a sentence. So we can continue to try the statement to option B. Statement 2 is the cause and statement 1 is the result.
If we put it in the text, because many people choose to buy fruits during Ramadan, the fruit seller gets a lot of money. Does it make sense? I think it makes sense, because the reason is that many people want to buy fruits, so the fruit seller gets a lot of money. So the answer is B.
Now let's continue to the last question. As usual, I'll give you two minutes. Two minutes starts now. Okay, two minutes is up, now it's time to discuss the question.
As before, the question is to determine the relationship between the statements 1 and 2. Here we try from the "ani" option. Statement 1 is the cause and statement 2 is the result. So here, if we make one sentence, "Because Ramadan in Jakarta is very crowded, the holidays in Jakarta are very quiet."
Do you think it's connected? I don't think so, because these two words haven't stated the relationship of cause and effect. The same goes for the statement B, if for example statement 2 is the answer and statement 1 is the result, it means that if it becomes a sentence like this, "Because the holiday in Jakarta is very quiet,
So Ramadan in Jakarta is very crowded. I don't think these two are related because they are not the cause of the event. So from that, the answer is E. Why not C or D? Because we don't know if they are the cause or the event.
So, they can be the cause of both or the cause of both. We need more information to determine that. Well, because we don't have more information, we can answer that we can't have a relationship. Okay, we've reached the end of the video.
