hi everybody today we're going to

talk about how to make a jam sandwich

this is a procedure and we are going to

be learning about procedural writing

so how to write a procedure and when we

write a procedure

we always start with the title so the

title

is how to make a jam

sandwich okay so that's the title

and we move on to the next bit

we always list the things we need when

we are writing a procedure

so to make a jam sandwich you will

need two slices of bread

butter or spread jam

and a knife so here they are the bread

the knife the butter and the jam

so you need four things okay

then we move on to talk about the method

how do we do it and when we're writing

the method we use

numbers so number one

first get two slices of

bread

number two next use

the knife to spread some butter

onto both slices

number three after that

use a knife to spread the jam

on top of the butter

on one of the slices of bread

number four then put one slice of bread

on top of the other

to make a sandwich

number five after that

cut the sandwich in half with

the knife

and number six finally eat

it okay so that is

our first little procedure that we're

learning about

how to make a jam sandwich okay

and if we look at it once more

we'll notice that this procedure

procedure has three things

it has the title how to make a jam

it has the things you need okay it lists

the things you need

and then it has the method the method is

how you do it

and we always use numbers for the
