If you've spent your life being

0:02

overlooked or mistreated, taken

0:05

advantage of or treated like the black

0:07

sheep, Psalm 23:5 has a word for you

0:11

today.

0:12

God is preparing a table in the presence

0:15

of your enemies.

0:16

Now, I want to speak to somebody today

0:18

who has spent a lot of their life

0:21

wondering,

0:22

"Why am I always the one?

0:25

Why am I the one people misunderstand?

0:29

Why am I the one who gets blamed? Why am

0:32

I the one who gives and gives, but

0:36

people take advantage of me?"

0:39

Maybe you've been the black sheep in

0:41

your own family, the one

0:44

that everyone talks about, the one who

0:47

never quite fit in.

0:49

>> [music]

0:49

>> Maybe people judged your mistakes, but

0:52

ignored what happened to you.

0:54

They saw your reaction, but never

0:57

bothered to ask about the wounds behind

1:00

it.

1:01

And after enough rejection, you started

1:04

wondering if maybe something was

1:06

actually wrong with you.

1:08

But listen to what David says in Psalm

1:11

23:5.

1:12

"You prepare a table before me in the

1:15

presence of my enemies. You anoint my

1:18

head with oil. My cup runs over."

1:21

>> [music]

1:21

>> Notice something.

1:23

David didn't say God prepared the table

1:25

after everyone who opposed him

1:28

disappeared.

1:29

God prepared it in their presence.

1:32

That means you don't need everyone who

1:35

misunderstood you to finally understand

1:38

you

1:39

before God can bless you.

1:42

You don't need everybody who lied about

1:45

you to admit they lied.

1:48

You don't need an apology from everyone

1:50

who hurt you before you could actually

1:53

move forward. And you definitely don't

1:56

have to spend the rest of your life

1:59

trying to prove yourself to people

2:02

who've already decided who they think

2:04

you are.

2:06

Let God vindicate you.

2:09

You know, some of you have exhausted

2:11

yourselves trying [music] to convince

2:13

people

2:14

that your heart was right. Stop.

2:18

You don't need to fight for a seat at

2:20

someone else's table when God is

2:23

preparing one for you.

2:25

And here's what I love. David says, "You

2:28

anoint my head with oil."

2:31

The rejection didn't cancel the

2:33

anointing. The betrayal didn't cancel

2:36

it.

2:37

Being overlooked didn't cancel it. Your

2:40

mistakes definitely didn't automatically

2:42

erase erase God's ability to [music]

2:45

redeem and use your life. And then David

2:48

goes on to say, "My cup runs over."

2:51

Not barely enough.

2:53

Overflow.

2:55

Somebody needs to hear this today.

2:56

[music]

2:57

Do not allow how people treated you to

3:00

determine how you see yourself.

3:03

You belong to God.

3:06

And if God has brought you through

3:07

rejection, betrayal, [music]

3:10

isolation, and seasons where nobody else

3:13

seemed to understand you,

3:16

don't become bitter.

3:18

Don't spend your next season trying to

3:20

get revenge [music] for your last

3:22

season.

3:23

Let God prepare the table. You just make

3:26

sure your heart is [music] ready to sit

3:29

at.

3:30

Because sometimes the greatest victory

3:33

isn't watching your enemies fail. It's

3:36

realizing you don't hate them anymore.

3:40

You healed.

3:41

You move forward, and what they

3:44

did, it no longer controls you.

3:47

Listen, let me pray over [music] you.

3:49

Come into agreement. Holy Spirit, I ask

3:52

you to step into this moment. [music]

3:54

Speak through me to those you are

3:56

seeking to bring healing and freedom.

3:59

Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of

4:01

Jesus, [music]

4:03

I pray for every person within the sound

4:06

of my voice who's felt rejected,

4:09

overlooked, mistreated, or taken

4:11

advantage of.

4:13

You saw what happened. You heard what

4:16

was said. You saw the conversations they

4:19

weren't in.

4:20

You saw every time they were blamed

4:23

unfairly. Lord Jesus, every time their

4:26

kindness [music] was mistaken for

4:28

weakness. Every time they gave another

4:31

chance and got hurt again. Father,

4:34

heal them.

4:36

Heal the wound of rejection. Heal the

4:39

wounds of betrayal.

4:41

Heal [snorts] the black sheep who spent

4:43

years believing, "Something must be

4:46

wrong with me."

4:48

Break that lie today in Jesus' name.

4:52

Their worth is not determined by who

4:54

accepted them. Their identity is not

4:57

determined by who rejected them. Their

5:00

future is not determined by who walked

5:03

away.

5:05

Father, according to Psalm 23:5, [music]

5:08

prepare the table. Open the doors that

5:11

you've ordained. Bring the relationships

5:13

[music] that you've ordained. God,

5:16

restore opportunities according to your

5:19

perfect will. And where people tried to

5:21

destroy their reputations, let their

5:25

character speak louder than accusation

5:27

in Jesus' name.

5:29

Where they were overlooked, position

5:32

them according to your purpose. Where

5:34

they were pushed aside, remind them that

5:38

man's rejection cannot cancel your

5:41

calling.

5:42

But Father,

5:43

while you prepare the table, Lord,

5:46

prepare their hearts. Remove bitterness,

5:49

remove resentment, remove the need for

5:52

revenge,

5:54

and remove the obsession with proving

5:56

everyone wrong. We forgive those who

6:00

wounded us. We release those who

6:02

rejected us. We release the people who

6:05

talked about us.

6:07

And we release the people who asked that

6:10

used us.

6:11

We will not drag them into the next

6:14

season through bitterness. Oh Father, we

6:17

give them all to you. And I declare, I

6:20

will not become what hurt me.

6:23

I will not allow rejection to make me

6:26

reject others. I will not allow betrayal

6:30

to make me suspicious of everyone.

6:33

I will not allow being taken advantage

6:35

of to turn my heart cold. I will remain

6:39

loving. I will remain humble. I will

6:42

remain discerning, and I will let God

6:45

defend me.

6:46

Father, anoint their heads with fresh

6:49

oil. Restore their confidence, restore

6:52

their joy, restore their ability to

6:55

[music] trust wisely. Give them the

6:57

discernment so kindness does not become

7:00

lack of boundaries. Teach them that

7:03

forgiveness doesn't mean allowing

7:06

someone

7:07

unlimited access to hurt them again.

7:10

Give them courage to say no when

7:12

necessary. Give them wisdom concerning

7:15

who belongs close to them in this next

7:18

season.

7:19

And Father,

7:21

let their cup overflow.

7:23

Not so they can boast, not so they can

7:26

say, "Look at me now." But so their life

7:29

becomes evidence of your faithfulness.

7:33

Lord, let the person who was rejected

7:35

become somebody who welcomes the

7:37

rejected.

7:39

Let the one who's been broken become

7:42

someone who helps heal the broken.

7:45

Let the black sheep become [music] the

7:47

one who breaks unhealthy patterns in the

7:50

family.

7:52

Let the one who was silenced find their

7:54

voice. Let what was intended to bury

7:58

them become part of the testimony that

8:00

helps someone else get free.

8:04

And when the table appears,

8:06

keep them humble.

8:08

When doors open,

8:10

keep them grateful.

8:12

When people finally recognize what you

8:15

placed inside of them,

8:17

keep their eyes on Jesus.

8:21

Father, I declare over them today, you

8:23

are not forgotten. You are not

8:26

disqualified. You are not what they

8:28

called you. You are not the rejection

8:32

you experienced. You are not the rumor

8:35

that someone spread. You belong [music]

8:38

to God.

8:40

And if God is for you, no human

8:43

opposition can [music] stop his purpose

8:45

for your life.

8:47

So, Father,

8:48

give them strength to keep walking.

8:51

Let them stop [music] looking backward

8:53

at the people who rejected them and

8:55

start looking forward

8:58

to where you're leading them.

9:00

Prepare the table. Anoint their head.

9:04

Let their cup overflow. And above

9:06

everything else, let their life glorify

9:10

Jesus Christ. In Jesus' mighty name,

9:14

amen. [music]

9:16

If you've been the black sheep, the

9:18

overlooked one, or the person everyone

9:21

seemed to misunderstand, [music]

9:24

hear me.

9:25

Stop begging people to give you a seat

9:28

where God never told you to sit.

9:31

Keep walking with Jesus.

9:33

Let him heal your heart. Let him order

9:36

your steps.

9:37

and let God prepare the table.

9:41

And if you receive this word today,

9:43

comment God is preparing my table.

9:47

And if you're ready to go deeper in

9:49

understanding your authority in Christ,

9:52

going spiritual warfare, breaking

9:54

strongholds, and learning how to

9:56

maintain your freedom,

9:58

I want to invite you into my 12-week

10:04

10:32

God bless you.
