And in global news, more than 7,000
2:03
cases of a Jingong Gong virus have been
2:06
reported across China's Guangong

province since July, prompting measures
2:12
similar to those taken during the CO9

where their bats are protected with

mosquito nets. They can only be
2:23
discharged after they test negative or

2:43
Aside from Fosan, which was hit the
2:45
hardest, at least 12 other cities have
2:47
reported infections. Nearly 3,000 cases
2:50
were reported in the last week alone. On
2:52
Monday, Hong Kong reported its first
2:54
case, a 12-year-old boy who developed
2:56
fever, rash, and joint pain after
2:59
traveling to Fosan in July. The virus is
3:01
not contagious and only spreads when an
3:03
infected person is bitten by a mosquito
3:05
that then goes on to bite others.
3:07
Officials say all reported cases have
3:09

discharged within 7 days. Still, the
3:14
cases have caused some panic given the

US President Donald Trump has issued an
3:23
executive order imposing an additional
3:25
25% tariff on India over its purchases
3:29
of Russian oil. This will raise the
3:32
total tariff on Indian imports to the
3:34
United States to 50% among the highest
3:38
rates imposed by the US. The new rate
3:41
will take effect in 21 days on August
3:44
27th. In response, India's foreign
3:47
ministry said the league had already
3:49
made its position on imports from
3:52
Russian clear and reinterretate that the
3:55
tariff is unfair, unjustified, and
3:58
unreasonable. The White House said in a
4:01
statement that the Russian Federation's
4:02
actions in Ukraine pose an ongoing
4:04
threat to US national security and
4:06
foreign policy, necessitating stronger
4:08
measures to address the national

emergency. It stated that India's

imports of Russian oil undermine US

4:18
US will determine which other countries
4:20
are importing oil from Russia and will

recommend further actions to the

president as needed. The additional

tariff affected key Indian exports such
